Bamboo Sprouts

Last week I got together with a few other mommies and we traded freezer meals!  If you can find a few willing participants, this is pretty fun.    So I took a bunch of lasagnas and came home with a bunch of different meals to pop in the freezer and use as needed.  The problem is, I can hardly wait to try our new and exciting meals!  Its so tempting to eat them all this week but going to resist since we are only doing the exchange once a month.  LOL

Sunday- today we tried Caitlins meal.  Yumm-o!  Thanks for the chicken and veggie bake.  Great way to get veggies down their necks.  Actually, my kiddos love veggies, but I imagine it would work on those who are less fond.

Monday- home made chicken noodle soup (that didnt get made last week!) and fresh bread (freeze the extra soup for weekend)

Tuesday- Jeannene’s rasperry chicken in crock pot.  Will serve with rice and salad.

Wednesday- Out with friends to celebrate Chinese New Year

Thursday-today is really CNY so going to try a noodle dish.  Will post if it comes out but I am sort of making it up so its a gamble.  If its awful, I suppose we will run out for take out. 

Friday- Rick out of town for the weekend so winging it around here.  We will eat stuff he doesnt enjoy like home made mac n cheese and tapioca pudding and kettle corn this weekend.   Maybe toss in some pizza and pb&J here and there.  Or bfast for dinner.  He thinks thats weird but kids like it. 

Saturday- winging it some more. 

Sunday- and some more.  Kids will be glad to see daddy home tomorrow and a real meal again.
