Resident Artist
By far these days, ART is Sophie’s favorite activity. Could that be because her daddy stripped the playroom down to…well…NOTHING?? LOL Actually, art has always been one of her favorite things to do but lately, it’s like an obsession. She colors, cuts and glues every. single. day. LOL Here are some of her creations.
Self portrait. She is wearing sunglasses and holding her SCISSORS. LOL
Her pictures often have fold lines like this because the other thing she likes to do is MAIL her art all over town. LOL At first I thought it was kinda weird to mail crazy pictures to everyone but by now, everyone is pretty used to it. 
I also thought hey she is using my envelopes! But then I did the math and at about a penny a piece, I buy them in bulk and let her have a party. Some get mailed, some get handed to Bella or Levi or mommy or daddy to open immediately. I guess making it into “mail” makes it more fun. That reminds me, there is nothing Sophie likes better than to get MAIL so if you have our address and feel like dropping her a line, I betcha betcha you will recieve some Sophie original art in your own mailbox as a big huge THANK YOU!

A Magna Doodle bus. I am amazed at how much time the Magna Doodles get around here. A favorite (and highly recommended!) toy for sure.
This is a painting about the book “Going on a Bear Hunt”.
And as a matter of fact, AS I TYPE THIS, she is making space ships and planets and giving them to Bella and Levi.

The thing that struck me were the scissors in the self-portrait & handled the rendition of them very nicely! I don’t think many children that age would even think about the scissors!
The Magna Doodle bus is a VERY good drawing!! I also loved the pirate ship…lots going on in that one! She’s only 5 & her drawings are all recognizable…that usually doesn’t come until about 7! Way to go, Sophie!

How old is she again? Kaitlynn is the same way. She draws any time she can and is also into writing her own stories and making her own books! She also folds everything into their own envelopes and asks me to mail them!
My kids LOVE their Magna Doodles too! They are the best! We have travel ones for road trips too!
