Sew Fun

The girls recently discovered Americ*n Girl dolls and are having a great time with them. Actually, Sophie is still using another type of doll as she has decided to wait for hers until her Birthday (the choice was that, or I would split the cost with her for an AG). I guess I kind of hoped that brand would not matter but it has become hard to escape the brand thing at this point. Anyhow, I have been sewing some fun things for the dolls and even came up with these simple matching tops for the girls. Very fun. Next little goal is to get the girls sewing their own little dolly outfits.

Both of our girls (Cara is 9 3/4 and is from Xiaogan and Cate is 7.5 from Jiangxi) love AG. I wish I knew how to sew…the outfits for your girls and dolls look so great! There is a woman on eBay out of Hong Kong that is very reasonable and periodically has Chinese silk pj’s and dresses…wulang55 I think is her id but I can check if you like.
We go to the American Girl Boston store on their birthdays to pick out an accessory or outfit – I think I have as much fun looking at the displays as the girls. I get some AG items for Christmas on Cyber Monday when AG puts accessories, clothing outfits and some books at greatly reduced prices. Barbara
