At first I thought it would be so fun to make a pirate ship cake!  Once I got all the cakes baked (I used a wilton football pan), I had no idea how to make it into a pirate ship.  LOL  I had to call in help (Rick’s!) and it turned out a little rustic, but was a pretty big hit.    I love that kids are easy peasy to please.

He pretty much requested Thanksgiving dinner, except with chicken legs (“chicken on a bone”).

Happy Birthday Levi!

Levi is a great kiddo.  He is a really good brother to Bella and Sophie and he is the funniest of the three in a way that he doesn’t even know he is funny.  He just pops out with the funniest comments and he is totally dead-pan in his delivery.    He has finally (!) caught on to reading and is a good student, trying very hard in all subjects.  He is helpful and gentlemanly and by far our easiest going.  He is all boy in how he shows (or doesn’t!) his emotions but we hope he had a really special 8th birthday!
