Bamboo Sprouts

We got together with some friends who also homeschool and headed downtown for a simple candy factory tour today.

Hammonds is mostly known for their hard candies and they distribute locally plus through many catalogs like LL Be*n, Coldw*ter Cre*k, and a whole bunch more .  Hard candy not really being my favorite, I was most impressed with the homemade marshmallow and especially when it is covered in carmel or chocolate! 

They do every thing here from boil the hard candy mixture, color it, shape it up all fancy and pack and label it.

Although she looks all excited, I am pretty positive that they liked EATING the treats much more than they enjoyed learning about how it is made.
